Almost there!

Our family's personal expenses for the trip are now covered! We also had a very successful garage sale that ran over the last two weekends. The garage sale and some other donations helped push us very close to our van goal!

TEAM MEMBERS: Nearly all expenses are covered for the 10 of us! (97%!)

VAN PURCHASE: $4,794 of $6,500 goal (74%!)

This has put us in range to move forward with the purchase. In fact, today we are getting the van inspected by a local mechanic so we can get the purchase process started!

When we first started planning this trip, we were quoted around $2,000 for rental vehicles that would be used over the 11 weeks that Mgcini is in Zimbabwe. Unfortunately, none of our connections in Zimbabwe have a vehicle that is well suited for our needs and available at the time we need it. This rental cost did not sit well with us, so we are thrilled with the opportunity to invest that money instead of throwing it away.

When this trip is completed, the vehicle will either be used by the people managing our land in Zimbabwe or it will be sold and reinvested into the ministry start-up costs if needed.
